Put simply, a receiver has two main functions: firstly, it amplifies the sound so it can be fed to your speakers, and secondly, it allows you to select the audio and video you wish to watch.

It amplifies the sound; When you are in-tune with receiving you are amplifying the message/noise/sound in which you feed into your mind/heart/ emotion

Secondly, Receiving allows you to select how and what you are going to watch/play-over/ focus on in the development of your goals/plans.

That definition is rich with insights as to WHY you must be a Great Receiver.
