Rest is your number one tool for a successful New Year/New You. That's right, sleep well at night 8-9 hours! Yes you can! Take naps during the day if you can. Not only is this a fantastic stress reliever (You're welcome Thyroid/Cortisol) it reverses your aging! I KNOW RIGHT!
Today I (Kori) had my doctor's appointment and we went over a difficult discussion regarding my weight gain, lack of energy, and no desire to work out. Now folks that's not ME!!! I had a blood panel taken and as we went over it, my wonderful doctor asked me these questions; How are you feeling? Are you getting your rest? What are your days like?
It hit me in my gut because I constantly tell you and our clients "The number one thing to do is rest and find your VILLE" My KoriVille is once a week and I stopped having them and started taking on more of other people's "stuff".
Well guess what??? I've gained weight and I've had absolutely NO desire to exercise. I am not sleeping 8-9 hours a night and I am not taking naps. Well there you have it! I am being completely honest in my mess. But the beautiful thing is I have a doctor who helps me redirect my self-care.
I am sharing this with you because you too may be at a place where you are so focused on your Happy New Year/New You that you forget to stop and give Self-Care. Rest enables you to have a Happy New Year/New You and enjoy the journey a little bit more.
