We all have different ways we learn, educate ourselves and grow. Be very clear on what works for you. I (Steven) enjoy reading books and listening to speakers. I (Kori) enjoy audible books and watching podcasts. We both enjoy live events.
If you are someone who gets the most out of learning and growing by reading a physical book then do that. You may enjoy writing notes on the pages or dog-earring a page to go back to.
Some people are distracted by watching a person speaking because it causes distraction from the message. Others do not like live events because they get caught up in the audience and not the speaker.
